Backpacking 7-10-12

We have finally taken the kids backpacking. We had intended to go to Leigh Lake Campsite 13 but it was taken so Instead we went to the South Shore of Jackson Lake. It was a ridiculously easy half mile, but that just meant more time and energy for fun. We spent the entire time in the lake and only three or four times did we manage to yank the kids onto the shore for a hike. All in all a complete and total success.

Schwabacher Landing 6-16-12

Schwabacher Landing is one of our favorite places to go it is fairly popular especially up to the beaver ponds. Sunrise Earth once did an episode from here. So needless to say it is quite beautiful. If you ever take the time to venture on this trail keep going past the beaver ponds and even more amazing views of the Tetons will open up to you.

String Lake Loop 6-2-12

We set out on this hike to inspect some backpacking sites along Leigh Lake, we parked at the String Lake Trail head and then headed towards Leigh Lake. We first went to the campsite and then headed back and finished the loop around String Lake.
