San Diego

For our anniversary Kevin and I were lucky enough to receive an invitation  to my Uncle Colin and his new bride Gina's wedding. the trip was fabulous, the weather was a pleasing break from the dreary and wet conditions of home. This was our 'adults-only- trip of the year and it was such an adventure. we hiked between freeways, saw the sights of San Diego and even made it down to Pacific Beach. The Gas Lamp district was a fun night exploring a big city, and Balboa Park was awe-inspiring, from the gardens, to the artist district, and lets not forget the San Diego Zoo!! Which thankfully held up to my life long dreams, the San Diego Sea World however left me feeling sad, disgusted and downright ashamed to be a part of humanity. Why the upset over caged whales versus gorillas? See for yourself, the Zoo and the Aquariums are two very different attractions. Anyway the long weekend ended just in time. being from a climate that barely if ever reaches 90 the hot, stuffy, crowed city was soon becoming too much to bare. Overall and excellent chance to see family, and discover the gems of a new city.
