Palisades 5-19-12

Ahhh Palisades a day that I hoped was to be a nice stroll along the shore of a well known lake in Alpine, Wyoming. Kevin as usual had grander sights in store and once again we parked on some  unmarked dirt path that led nowhere, exited the truck and went up. This one even had us dabbling in some rock climbing, Kevin of course providing a safety net. The view from the top was worth the mild dread to reach it. Score once again for the "Summer of Up".

 

We hiked up this boulder field until we reached the black
rocks, then the boulders became really loose so we took
a left and headed up the ridge.
